Personal Development, Business, Finance, and Investing for Everyone
An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.
Driving sales online is as challenging as creating your first advertisement. Your number one goal is to reach more customers and sell more products. You wouldn’t be able to do it by social media or website advertisement alone. You will need help to reach more people outside your scope, the help I’m talking about is affiliate marketing. There are different types of affiliate programs you can choose from, and there are lots of company who offers a guide for a very reasonable price. Before you bite into this idea let’s first understand the basics. There are two sides in affiliate marketing, you can either be the advertiser or the publisher, let’s take a closer look: Advertiser If you have an advertisement on your website and you want to increase exposure and get more clients, then you can offer other websites to be an affiliate. How does it work? You may list all the websites who are open to all advertisers. The website manager will create a designated link for your advertisement. Customers will be directed to your website for them to purchase a certain product. What’s the catch? Of course you will not get this for free, not unless the business website is open for a free advertisement. They will get a percentage on every sale you made through their website. This will depend on your agreement / contract. Where to advertise? Choosing where to advertise is a bit challenging. To start with, you may choose a blogger website. Choose the blogger who writes blogs the same as your business. If you own a restaurant then choose a food blogger. If you have a travel agency then choose a travel blogger. Publisher
Those websites that accept advertisements are called publishers. You can earn too by allowing other businesses to advertise on your website. How does it work? The idea is exactly the opposite of an advertiser. If someone will advertise on your website. You will be needing to designate a space for their link. You may ask your website content manager to do it for you. What’s the catch? This time you will be earning on top of your product sales. Every time your advertiser made a sale through your website, you will be getting a percentage, which again depends on your agreement/contract. Who to accept? Who doesn’t like to get extra cash? Allowing more advertisers means increasing your chance to earn extra. Your website may also increase the number of visitors since you have more to offer. Yet you have to be careful about whom to accept, run research, and make sure that the company is legitimate. Its either you choose to increase your sales through advertising or publish other company’s advertisements, you will need to prepare your website. Ask yourself if your website is ready for this kind of arrangement.
