The Market Phases

​9:00 AM (Pre-opening) - Client can enter, edit or cancel orders.
9:15 AM (Still part of pre-opening) - Client cannot modify or cancel his/her orders.
9:30 AM (Opening) - PSE system computes for the opening price of each security.
9:30 AM to 12:00 PM (Continuous Trading Period) - This is the period where traders buy and sell stocks.
12:00 PM to 1:00 PM (Market Recess/Lunch Break)

1:00 PM (Market Resume/Continuous Trading Period) - This is the period where traders buy and sell stocks.
2:45 PM (Pre-closing) - Client can enter, modify or cancel orders but no matching will occur.
2:45 PM (Still part of pre-closing) - Client can enter order but cannot modify or cancel orders.
2:50 PM (Closing) - PSE system computes for the closing price of each security.
2:50 PM (Run-off Period) - Users can only enter orders and execute trades at the closing price.
3:00 PM (Market Closed) - End of Trading
