Personal Development, Business, Finance, and Investing for Everyone
An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.
Sun Life Asset Management Company, Inc. (SLAMCI), the fund manager and distributor of the Sun Life Prosperity Funds, has partnered with BlackRock, one of the world’s leading providers of investment, advisory, and risk management solutions, to launch its own World Income Fund. The Fund, an open-end investment company, invests at least 90% of its net assets in a Target Fund that seeks to provide a high level of income by investing in a variety of assets, including equity securities, fixed-income securities, funds, cash, deposits, and money market instruments. This investment strategy aims to potentially provide regular income streams and generate long-term capital growth. A feeder fund is what the Sun Life Prosperity World Income Fund, Inc., falls under.
For this Fund, an investment horizon of at least five (5) years is advised. This Fund is suitable for investors who:
90% of the assets in this feeder fund in pesos will be placed in the Dynamic High Income Fund from BlackRock Global Funds. The remaining 10% will be invested with a focus on income from global equities, fixed income, and other assets. Dividends are not due to unitholders. But if the Fund's Board of Directors declares and approves such a feature and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) so permits, the Fund may allow non-guaranteed unit-paying and/or income-paying feature(s). The fund shall pay dividends (income) to its unitholders on a monthly or quarterly basis, or as often as is practical, upon the Board of Directors' declaration. The revenue will come from the Target Fund and other sources, and it will be given as cash or more units. The fund's ability to pay dividends depends on its ability to generate income from the target fund and other sources as of the period's end, after deducting taxes and other expenses. Note: Unlike deposits made with banks, an investment in the Fund is neither insured nor guaranteed by the PDIC. Hence, investors carry the risk of losing the value of their investment, without any guaranty in the form of insurance. Moreover, as with any investment, it is important to note that past performance of the Fund does not guarantee its future success.
