Personal Development, Business, Finance, and Investing for Everyone
An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.
In accordance with the President's drive for e-governance and thrust to entice foreign investment and business to the Philippines, the SEC created eSECURE, eSEARCH, SEC API Marketplace, eRAMP, and SEC CheckApp 2.0. A company's access point to SEC online services, including the recently released applications, is eSECURE. Instead of logging into each service separately, users can log into eSECURE and access their accounts.
eSECURE electronically authenticates the identity of SEC clients through risk-based credentialing, prohibiting illegal access to private company data. It increases financial integrity and makes it easier to hold people accountable while working to prevent money laundering and investment frauds. The public will be able to access information from corporate reports submitted to the SEC through eSEARCH and the SEC API Marketplace. The primary purpose of eSEARCH is as a research and discovery tool, but it also provides access for users to buy and download verified SEC papers. Electronic copies of documents will be in the text-layer PDF format, which makes it simpler to gather and analyze data. Investment evaluation and contracting party due diligence can be started quickly with eSEARCH. SEC API Marketplace, on the other hand, enables for little data transfer in between and direct sending and ingestion of data from one application to another without the requirement for a user or encoding on the receiving end. It promotes financial inclusion, quickens the availability of financial services, aids in maintaining financial stability, and handles consumer protection issues. eRAMP, a system specifically designed for capital market professionals and organizations like broker dealers and fund managers to handle their licenses with the SEC, is another new service. Through eRAMP, capital market players and institutions will be able to complete their registration applications, yearly fee payments, and other notification needs. The portal also serves as an online registration for all institutions and participants in the capital markets who are SEC-registered. The financial markets' breadth is increased via eRAMP while still protecting investors. Additionally, the Commission updated its official mobile application. Through the CheckwithSEC feature of SEC CheckApp 2.0, users can view the names of all companies registered with the SEC in real time and determine whether an investment opportunity is legitimate or not. Through the app, users can also determine whether a suggested company name is available. The SEC's Customer Care Online Assistant (CAROL) will also give stakeholders in the organization real-time responses to their questions and issues. The mobile app serves as a simple 24/7 personal guide to SEC services. The new digital services aim to create a secure business environment through strict adherence to laws and regulations and an informed investor base outfitted with tools to make wise financial decisions, which goes beyond simply making company registration easier.
