The Pag-IBIG Fund's MP2 Savings Program is a voluntary savings platform with a 5-year maturity period, designed for members who wish to save more and earn higher dividends than the regular Pag-IBIG Savings Program. Who can save under the MP2 Savings Program? Active Pag-IBIG Fund Members; and former Pag-IBIG Fund Members with other sources of monthly income and/or Pensioners, regardless of age, with at least 24 monthly savings prior to retirement. Is there a minimum amount that I can save under the MP2? Yes. The minimum MP2 savings is P500 per remittance. Is there a limit to the amount I can save? There is no limit. You can save as much as you want under the MP2 Savings Program. If you wish to remit an amount exceeding P500,000, you will have to issue a personal or manager's check. How do I save under MP2 Savings Program? You may regularly save a minimum amount of P500 monthly in your MP2 Savings Account. You may also opt for a one-time savings of a higher amount. How much dividends will my savings earn? Your MP2 Savings will earn government-guaranteed and tax-free dividends at a rate higher than that of the regular Pag-IBIG Savings. Your dividends are derived from no less than 70% of the Pag-IBIG Fund's annual net income. The Pag-IBIG MP2 Savings, being a voluntary program, earns a higher dividend rate than the mandatory Pag-IBIG Regular Savings. Here are the MP2 Savings Dividend Rates since 2011.
When can I received my MP2 Dividends? You may choose to received your MP2 Dividends through any of the following options: Upon your savings' 5-year maturity with MP2 Dividends compounded. Annually, with your MP2 Dividends credited to your savings or checking account under Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), or other banks that the Pag-IBIG Fund may accredit in the future. In case the member has no Philippine bank account especially for overseas members, MP2 Dividends will be released via check payable to the MP2 Saver. Can I re-apply for a new MP2 Savings Account once my MP2 Savings matures? Yes. Once your MP2 Savings reaches its 5-year maturity, you may re-apply for a new Pag-IBIG MP2 Savings Account. Members may claim their MP2 Savings anytime upon its maturity. Am I allowed to have more than one (1) MP2 Savings Account? Yes. You can open and maintain multiple MP2 Savings Accounts. Save Now!
