Personal Development, Business, Finance, and Investing for Everyone
An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.
A GOAL is a DREAM with a deadline. Think and Grow Rich is the seminal work by the well-loved and world-renowned Napoleon Hill, a contemporary of Dale Carnegie. Originally published in 1937, Hill's money making secrets are as powerful today as they were then—and can change your life forever. Hill uncovered the secret to great wealth, based on the notion that if we can learn to think like the rich, we can discover wealth and success. In his book, Hill developed simple but powerful step formulas to help you (as readers) to identify your goals, master the secret of true and lasting success, and obtain whatever you want in life. Sharing with you the lessons I've learned from his book, Think and Grow Rich. I hope you will learn something from this blog post. Enjoy and be blessed! The Power Of Thought Mindset is everything. It's all about mindset. One of our most significant powers is the ability to control our thoughts. Truly, our thoughts are things and powerful things at that when mixed with purpose, persistence, and a burning desire for their translation into riches or other material things. Before success comes to most people, they are sure to meet with much temporary defeat, and perhaps some failure. When faced with defeat the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit. That is exactly what the majority of people do. Failure is a trickster with a keen sense of irony and cunning. It takes great delight in tripping one up when success is almost within reach. Our only limitations are those Desire: The Starting Point Of All Achievement A burning desire to be and to do is the starting point from which the dreamer must take off. Dreams are not born of indifference, laziness, or lack of ambition. Remember, too, that all who succeed in life get off to a bad start, and pass through many heartbreaking struggles before they "arrive." The turning point in the lives of those who succeed usually comes at the moment of some crisis, through which they are introduced to their "other selves." No one is ready for a thing until he believes he can acquire it. The state of mind must be a belief, not mere hope or wish. Open-mindedness is essential for belief. Closed minds do not inspire faith, courage, or belief. Faith: Visualizing And Believing In The Attainment Of Desire Faith is the head chemist of the mind. When faith is blended with the vibration of thought, the subconscious mind instantly picks up the vibration, translates it into its spiritual equivalent, and transmits it to infinite intelligence, as in the case of prayer. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart....... Have faith in yourself; faith in the infinite. FAITH Influencing The Subconscious Mind Our subconscious mind recognizes and acts only upon thoughts that have been well mixed with emotions or feelings. There are no limitations to the mind Personal Experiences Or Observations According to Napoleon Hill, knowledge will not attract money unless it is organized and intelligently directed through practical plans of action to the definite end of the accumulation of money. Lack of understanding of this fact has been the source of confusion to millions of people who falsely believe that "knowledge is power." It is nothing of the sort! Knowledge is only potential power. It becomes power only when, and if, it is organized into definite plans of action and directed to a definite end. Successful people, in all callings, never stop acquiring specialized knowledge related to their major purpose, business, or profession. Those who are not successful usually make the mistake of believing that the knowledge-acquiring period ends when they finish school. Michael Jordan's determination is a lesson to all of us if we are determined to achieve our goals, neither our age nor the scepticism of others can deter us. Imagination: The Workshop Of The Mind Imagination has no limit. The imagination is literally the workshop wherein are fashioned all plans created by people. The impulse, the desire, is given shape, form, and action through the aid of the imaginative faculty of the mind. Our only limitation, within reason, There are two forms of imagination according to Hill. One is known as "synthetic imagination," one may arrange old concepts, ideas, or plans into new combinations. And the other as "creative imagination," in which bunches and inspirations are received.
