It's You vs. You. Be your own toughest rival.

Look in the mirror.
That's your competition.
Right there!

Every day I look in the mirror, I have a personal conversation with myself. I challenge myself to focus on being sharper today than I was the day before. Being human, I miss the mark sometimes. Yet, I am much further along in my development because I set a bar high. I could care less about what others do, or if they keep their word.

The only person who I compete with was the Ralph I was a day ago, a month ago, and a year ago. Through the flawless moments and the storms.​

​The principle is competing against yourself. It's about self-improvement about being better than you were the day before.

In other words, always try to win against your standard of excellence and keep raising the bar on your level of play.

The only person we need to be better than, is the person we were yesterday.

​No matter what you go through, keep working hard, and believing—the rest will take care of itself as long as you have FAITH.

Let all the pain and suffering out then form a plan to come back stronger, so that you never relive that pain again. One day you will laugh at the things that caused you suffering. Be flexible; always ready to change and keep moving forward. The light is at the end of the tunnel—it will not come to you.

At the end of the day, your biggest competition is you! Compare yourself only to who you were yesterday. Be your competition.

Every second you spend thinking about what someone else has, it is taking away time that you can use to create something for yourself. Spend that energy on your visions and execution.

One day you will look back and see that the whole process was well worth it.
