I have loved you with an everlasting love. You are loved forever!
Why do bad things happen to me? Why is life so hard? What's wrong with me?
Many times in life, we have disappointments. We are looking for certain things to happen, and they don't always happen as expected. As much as you want to plan your life, it has a way of surprising you with unexpected things. The truth is, while we are still here on Earth, we will experience ups and downs in life. Don't worry! There's good news, we're not alone. God is with us! He fights for us! He sees us!
Let me ask you some questions. What poem from your childhood do you still remember? What is one life lesson one should remember?
Last Sunday at our church, Word of Hope (A Christian Family Church), our church Pastor shared with us a poem entitled Footprints in the Sand. Maybe you already know this poem just like me. But let me share it once again with you. Footprints in the Sand One night I had a dream. I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.. Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonging to me, and the other to the Lord.. When the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that many times along the path of my life there was only one set of footprints. I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in my life. This really bothered me and I questioned the Lord about it: "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I need you most you would leave me." The Lord replied: "My precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
Know that you are not alone. God is with you, holding you, comforting you, and most of all loving you no matter what. Open your heart and invite God into every circumstance because when God enters the scene, miracles happen. Hold on to God's promises! So do not fear, for I am with you; and in the wilderness. There you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place.”
