How Do I Open A FirstMetroSec Online Trading Account

1. ​Visit their website https://www.firstmetrosec.com.ph/fmsec/, and click on Open An Account Tab. This will take you through a step-by-step process for your account opening. Complete the registration. 

​2. Fill out all required information in the Customer Account Information Form.

3. Check the necessary forms: Trading Agreement, Signature Cards; and sign on the necessary spaces provided. (check this link to download forms.)

4. Attach clear photocopies of valid government-issued IDs.

5. Submit the completed forms and required documents:

a. Through mail or submit personally to the head office or any of the First Metro Investors Centers
b. Through the FirstMetroSec pouch (Pouch Code: 90033) at your Metrobank branch of account

Note: The transit time of transfer from the Metrobank branch to the First Metro Securities head office may take seven (7) banking days.

Before sending the forms, kindly make sure that the client has affixed his/her signature on all the required forms.​

The requirements needed are as follows:

• Customer Account Information Form
• Trading Agreement
• Signature Cards
• Scanned Copy of Proof of Billing
• Tax Identification Number (TIN) and Social Security System (SSS) number or Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) number, as may be applicable.

Please note that the TIN and SSS or GSIS number are required data for Employed clients. Students and Self-Employed clients only need TIN.

Other Requirement as needed:

• Bank, Bank Account Name and Bank Account Number as specified on the CAIF. Fees may apply for regional accounts.

6. First Metro Securities will send an email notification for account activation within two days after receipt of complete documents.

​What Are The Additional Requirements For Foreign Clients?

Below is the list of requirements for foreign accounts:​

• Local (Philippine) Bank Account
• Philippine Tax Identification Number (TIN)
• Two valid/government issued IDs with clear signature (per account holder) with Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR Card) as one of the required IDs for foreign clients residing in the Philippines
• List of accounts maintained with other banks (Name of Bank/ Branch of Account)
• Source of funds of each account holder (Name of Account Holder and Source of Funds)

FirstMetroSec is a Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA)-Compliant Institution. For clients whose (1) birthplace, (2) home / office address, or (3) nationality is in the United States, they must fill out the FATCA Certification Form. Please [email protected] to obtain these forms.

What Is The Minimum Amount Required To Open An Account?

For clients with a MetrobankDirect account, opening an online trading account is FREE. For clients with no Metrobank Account, initial investment of at least Php 2,500.00 is required.​
