Personal Development, Business, Finance, and Investing for Everyone
An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.
Teamwork makes the dream work. Tough times don't last. Tough teams do.
A staff retreat can help make your team members feel appreciated and enhance their sense of team unity and commitment to the common goal. Here are the keys to make your next retreat fun and productive.
Choose a site away from your workplace. If you want your team members to gain a fresh perspective on each other, it would help if they saw each other in a different setting. Encourage your team to dress comfortably. Few people can truly relax in formal business dress. And the energizing activities you have planned for the retreat are much easier to do in casual dress. Start the day with coffee and doughnuts or juice and muffins. Show your appreciation for your team by providing them with a few goodies. Don't forget some social time. Set aside time for everyone to reconnect with team members they don't see frequently. The easiest way to incorporate this into your staff retreat is to have lunch as a group. Make it fun. Experts tell us that adults learn better when they are engaged and having a good time.
