​COL Financial launched its new equity fund, the COL Strategic Growth Unitized Mutual Fund (CSG), which is actively managed by COL experts.

COL Strategic Growth Fund (CSG)

The Philippine Peso-denominated COL Strategic Growth (CSG) Equity Fund seeks long-term capital growth through proactive portfolio management. The fund's primary investments are in common companies that are traded on the Philippine Stock Exchange, with the long-term objective of beating the returns of its benchmark (PSEi).

By diversifying into other investments like fixed income, the fund aims to be all-weather, able to ride the good tide during strong market runs while also being able to avoid or limit downside during unfavorable situations. The fund prioritizes risk management and uses a combination of fundamental, sentimental, and technical analysis to determine its course.

CSG Features

• The CSG, actively managed by COL Financial's team of experts, is the company's flagship fund.

CSG Investment Strategy

This fund invests in:

Equities

Stocks will serve as the main investing channel, with a thematic, value-driven strategy, and entries will be timed using technical analysis. Alpha and off-index issues are also included, however they are structured suitably to take risk and liquidity aspects into account. Selected issues mostly focus on the PSE's top blue chip businesses.

Fixed Income

In order to increase returns, the Fund may additionally invest in fixed income securities given the erratic nature of the local stock market.

Cash and Money Market Instruments

Additionally, CSG makes investments in highly liquid short-term securities as a safety net against withdrawals or for strategic positioning.
