Are you eligible to apply?

As per RFC, you are eligible if you meet the following requirements:

You should be a Filipino citizen not lower than eighteen (18) years of age.
Residency of at least two (2) years, except if you are a new homeowner.
Good character and reputation.
A source of income. If employed, you should have been connected with your current employer for at least two (2) years with a minimum basic monthly salary of Php 18,000. If you are a professional or self-employed, you should have been in the same profession or the same business for at least three (3) years, and your business should have been operational for at least two (2) continuous years with profitable operations.

What are the requirements in applying for a loan?

There are two types of debt, good and bad. It is important to understand the difference between Good debt and Bad debt.

Let me first start by saying that ideally, the best situation is to have no debt at all. In an ideal world, the perfect amount of debt is no debt.

I say this because even if there is such a thing as "good debt" the fact remains that you still owe someone money and the Bible is always right and makes sense when it says in Proverbs 22:7 that "the borrower is the servant to the lender."

However, in this day and age, it would seem that we couldn't escape the fact of debt. This is unrealistic for most people who aspire to own a home, automobile, or start a small business.

Before borrowing money, be sure you understand key aspects of the loan—how much you'll need to repay each month, how that might change over time and how long you'll make payments—and know what happens if you can't repay the loan.

From there, seek the loan that suits your needs. Some loans require you to fund specific purchases, such as a home, an automobile or business equipment; others let you spend the money as you see fit. Short-term loans mean you're out of debt sooner but require higher monthly payments than longer-term loans. Secured loans offer lower interest rates but require collateral, which you could lose if you don't pay on time.
