4 Steps To Help You Genuinely Forgive

​Learn to forgive people. Not for them, but for you.

If someone stole from you, or hurt you, or offended you, read this verse: God says, 

 "Your shame and disgrace are ended. You will live in your own land.
And your wealth will be doubled; your joy will last forever."

​(Isaiah 61:7)

What is God saying? He's telling you, "Let Me handle your case. Put the situation in My hands. I'll see to it that you'll receive double of what you've lost. I'll see to it that you'll gain back what was stolen from you."

As long as you let go and forgive, God will be your vindicator. Here are the 4 steps to help you Genuinely Forgive.

Commit to Forgive​

Forgiveness is a serious decision you make. It is a painful process but it will be worth it.

Depend on God

Depend on God to gain the strength you need to forgive.​

Surrender Your Emotions to God

Honestly acknowledge how you feel about extending forgiveness and ask God for grace to deal with your emotions.

Pray For Your Enemies

Jesus instructs us to "love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."

Total healing can only come if you do two things: If you ask forgiveness from people whom you have hurt—and forgive all those who have hurt you.

You need to forgive. If not for their sake, for yours.
