Personal Development, Business, Finance, and Investing for Everyone
An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.
The Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. (PSE) reminds the public that its subsidiary, Capital Markets Integrity Corporation (CMIC), and its employees do not solicit investments and that any investment solicitation that is supposedly sponsored by CMIC did not come from, and is not authorized by, CMIC. The Capital Markets Integrity Corporation (CMIC) received from several investors reports of a suspicious solicitation scheme using the name “Capital Market Intergrity” and “CapitalmarketIntergritycorps”. The investors reported that they had been asked to pay and/or “recharge” a fee for the availment of certain benefits and/or services.
The investors also complained that they have yet to recoup the payments made. Finally, the investors claimed that the website being used in the scheme is https://capitalmarket-intergritycorps.com/?invite_code=u29aqv&tab=2#/. CMIC is not connected with “Capital Market Intergrity” and “Capitalmarket-Intergritycorps”, including the abovementioned website. CMIC, as the independent audit, surveillance, and enforcement arm of the Philippine Stock Exchange, investigates and resolves all violations of the securities laws by trading participants, and trading-related irregularities and unusual trading activities involving issuers. In the fulfillment of its functions, CMIC neither resorts to any solicitation scheme nor engages in any of the purported acts of “Capital Market Intergrity” and “Capitalmarket-Intergritycorps”. The PSE reiterates that all legitimate stock transactions are done through PSEaccredited trading participants or stock brokerage firms. The complete list of the accredited stock brokerage firms of the Exchange is available in the PSE website (www.pse.com.ph) under Trading > Trading Participants. The Exchange encourages the public to exercise extreme caution and vigilance in dealing with companies or individuals soliciting stock investments, especially those which promise guaranteed returns or income. Investment scams usually involve promises of big payouts, quick money or guaranteed returns and do not contain disclosures on the risks of investing.
