Personal Development, Finance and Investing For Filipinos
An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest. Financial Education is your best investment.
The first step to making money is to purify your thinking towards money.
Towards Financial Freedom: The Positive Plan Of God For Us!
If somewhere in your brain you think that money is evil, that it is unspiritual to earn money, then somehow, even subconsciously, you will find ways of avoiding money. But the Bible doesn't say that money is evil; the love of money is. Money is neutral thing that can be used to love or hate, to build or destroy, depending on how you use it.
Purify your thinking towards money by embracing the truth that God wants you to have some material things to live a humane life, enough for your needs.
I'd like to share some biblical guidelines to achieve financial freedom and prosperity from our senior pastor, Ptr. David A. Sobrepeña of Word of Hope (A Christian Family Church). Actually this is the part 2 of his sermon, here's the first part "Biblical Guidelines To Financial Freedom And Prosperity."
Enjoy and be blessed!
A. Foundational Principle: God Gives Us The Right To Possess Money
1. God Owns All Money And Prosperity
The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the Lord Almighty.
For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth,
2. God Gives Men The Power To Have Financial Freedom And Prosperity
But remember the Lord your God,
Command those who are rich in this present world
B. God's Way To Gain Wealth And Financial Freedom And Prosperity
1. Study And Learn
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved,
Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Learn a skill, a trade or profession. Learn from the success of others. Seek out someone who has already done what you want to do.
All hard work brings a profit,
So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas.
For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule:
We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive.
Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ
Anyone who does not provide for their relatives,
Diligently seek good employment. Strive for excellence in your work. Start a small business and grow it.
3. Save And Invest
Start with budgeting.
The wise store up choice food and olive oil,
3 By wisdom a house is built,
Save and invest wisely. Build assets rather than liabilities.
Your Income --(100%)--> Expenses and Liabilities --(Php 0.00)--> Your Asset Php 0.00
The Right Formulas (My Pay Yourself Formulas):
Income - Savings = Expenses
Income - Savings & Investments = Expenses
Income - Savings & Tithes = Expenses
Income - Savings & Tithes & Investments = Expenses
4. Gifts And Inheritance
A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children,
5. Pursue God's Favor And Prosperity
Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health
Seek first God's kingdom and righteousness. Invest with God as your business partner.
9 Honor the Lord with your wealth,
Give, and it will be given to you.
Conclusion: Believe It's Possible!
“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from
Believe in God as a benevolent Father. Believe that anything is possible! Believe it's possible for you—be confident and go for it!
